There is only one business and commercial livestock in Mirpur Upazila. It is named as Mirpur Animal Hat. It is old from here, people from different parts of the country come to this place and buy their favorite animals and buy their favorite animals. Mirpur is developed in the center of the infamous Neelkhar Taylor and Nudson's blue cottage. Mirpur Thana and Mirpur Tahsil Offices were established in 1820-1824 in the center of Nilkuta. Pabna district was formed in 1828 when a police camp was established in the village of Para of Mirpur, about one mile east of Mirpur. In 1863, the region was included in Kushtia subdivision along with Mirpur and Nadia district was named. Mirpur railway was established in 1878 and it started developing as a center of trade in Mirpur.
